We believe that the future is an experience for everyone to share. That’s why in our mission to democratize foresight we declare that 2022 be the Year of Free, waiving tuition on select programs!

We welcome anyone to nominate one person who you believe would benefit from the gift of foresight, to receive a complimentary seat to The Futures School (applicable for Foundations in Natural Foresight® or Activations in Natural Foresight® programs).

Who should I nominate?

  • A natural change agent who could benefit from learning a futures framework
  • Someone with an innate futurist mindset who is facing funding constraints to further their foresight development
  • A high-potential, high-performing leader who needs foresight added to their 21st century toolkit 
  • Someone on the cutting edge of their field

No, you may not nominate yourself. We recommend that if you meet the characteristics of someone who would receive the Year of Free funding, that you seek someone to put forth a nomination on your behalf. Your application will not be considered if you self-nominate. However, you may use this nomination request letter template to ask a colleague to nominate yourself.

No, you do not need to be a TFS alumni to nominate an individual. We will conduct a 30-minute conversation with each nominee so that we have a fair understanding of the nomination put forward and will use that knowledge to make our selections, based on availability. 


An important note is that only TFS alumni may nominate someone from their own organization. If you are not a TFS alumni, you would need to nominate someone outside of your organization.

You may nominate only one individual so we recommend putting forward the best candidate in your network who would benefit from this experience.

No. Nominators give up their opportunity to be nominated and considered for Free Tuition.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Once the introductory call with the nominator takes place and the person is considered a good fit, we will place the individual in a program that is conducive to the individual’s time zone and allows the person proper planning time to make the commitment. Program placement is subject to availability.

We are seeking:

Priority will be given to those who have not attended The Futures School programming in the past and will contribute elements of diversity to the program in which they are considered.

During our introductory call with the nominator, we will learn more about why the person is a fit and determine the best program for the individual to be considered, subject to availability. The nomination is only valid for the Foundations in Natural Foresight® or Activations in Natural Foresight®.

Priority will be given to those who have not attended The Futures School programming in the past and will contribute elements of diversity to the cohort in which they are considered.

Although the person will receive a complimentary seat, the accepted nominee will complete a program application and introductory call, standard parts of our application process. We will also ask the nominee to sign a simple agreement that states full attendance and active participation in the training.

While tuition will be complimentary for nominees selected for an in-person Foundations program, the individual will be responsible for all other travel expenses (i.e., meals outside of training time, lodging, transportation, etc.).

If your nominee has already received tuition assistance in the past from The Futures School (including the Kedge Forward Fund), they may not be put forth for this nomination.

No, you may not rescind your application to be considered through this nomination process. The complimentary tuition is open only to new applicants. Current applicants and paid registrants are not eligible for nomination.

Nominees will be invited to a specific program that aligns with their interests and location. The invitation will be non-transferrable.
